New Name of ISEET Examination As “JEE-2013″
ISEET will be renamed as JEE Main and JEE Advance
The Government has announced that there will be a Common Engineering Entrance Examination for admissions into 1st year of engineering courses all over India.
The Human Resources Development Ministry of Govt. of India has plans to implement a nation-wide common entrance test for engineering admissions from the year 2013.
Now they have decided to call the single engineering entrance exam as Joint Entrance Examination ( JEE 2013). The new JEE 2013 entrance exam will replace all the engineering examination including IIT-JEE and AIEEE exams.
A committee headed by the Secretary of Department of Science & Technology recommended that a single entrance exam to be bifurcated into 2 parts – Main and Advance to be conducted in April / May, 2013. The new exam is called as JEE 2013.
ISEET to renamed back to JEE (Joint Entrance Exam)
The single common engineering examination originally known as ISEET-2013 will now be renamed as Joint Entrance Examination ( JEE 2013).
The two step ISEET-2013 will now be called as JEE-2013 will be replacing the old IIT-JEE and AIEEE. The JEE-2013 is going to be conducted by CBSE.
The Government of India has given freedom to all the states to join the process of admissions to their engineering colleges through JEE-2013 and the states themselves can determine their own relative weightage in 12th class marks and the performance in JEE test.
The JEE 2013 will be conducted in two parts – JEE Main and JEE Advance. There will be two ranks listed for each candidate in JEE-2013 entrance test – One rank for all the IITs and one for other engineering colleges. The IIT ranked students also can apply for other engineering colleges.
the Ministry of Human Resource Development also decided to conduct JEE-2013 twice in a year – during November/December and in April/may.
IMPORTANT information about CBSE Improvement Exam 2013 : One more important news is that the candidates who are preparing to take the JEE-2013 exam and who appeared for Class 12th CBSE board exam in 2012 can also appear for CBSE improvement Exam 2013 for 12th class in order to improve their performance in the Board examinations because the marks in 12th class board exams will be taken into consideration for JEE-2013.
